TONISLAV HRISTOV (b. 1978)
 Tonislav is from Bulgaria and moved to Finland in 2001 after falling in love with a Finnish woman.
He graduated in 2002 from the Ruse University of Technology. In 2004 he participated in the Etno media training organised by YLE in Finland. Since then he has worked in Finland as a technical assistant for many award-winning film- and documentary makers. He has directed many documentaries for YLE TV1’s Basaari series, the Mundo series and for YLE TV1’s Uusi Kino.
Directed by Tonislav, the short documentary Hercules has toured film festivals around the world. He is currently working on a new long documentary.
