GUSTAVO ALAVEDRA
 Gustavo is from Peru and moved to Finland in spring 2004.
Having graduated with a Master of Arts in cinema from the University of São Paulo in Brazil, Gustavo also qualified in audio-visual communications at the University of Communication and Design in Toulouse-Lautrec in Peru. He has studied one year at the Media Laboratory of the Helsinki University of Art and Design.
In Peru and Brazil, Gustavo worked as a cameraman, editor and director. In Finland he has filmed material for the international UrbanDynamics project, produced training material for Suunto Oy, and directed several short documentaries for the Mundo television series. He has also made one reportage for YLE TV1’s morning TV Aamu-TV and one documentary for the Basaari series. The documentary was given its premiere at the Love & Anarchy film festival in autumn 2006.
Gustavo is particularly interested in directing and shooting documentary films.
