Sabouret’s really is a versatile programme. Fine! He is the only contestant to choose Dutilleux’s concerto “…tout un monde lontain” for the finals. I’d like to be a fly on the ceiling and see how he and the orchestra manage with only one rehearsal. To me, it seems virtually impossible.
