EXODUS- VINAN MAAILMA
Ruotsissa pakolaisena asuva viisivuotias kurdityttö Vina lähtee isänsä kanssa salaiselle matkalle isovanhempiensa luo pohjois-Irakiin.Monivaiheisen matkan jälkeen läpi Euroopan ja Turkin Vina tapaa Irakissa asuvan sukunsa ensimmäistä kertaa. Aras, Vinan setä on rahaton, eikä voi järjestää pakomatakaansa. Hän turvautuu epätoivossaan alkoholiin. Toinen setä, Chia on jo paennut, mutta Jordaniassa hän on kadottanut paperinsa - ja maksanut etukäteen salakuljettajalle. Paperittomana ja rahattomana hän ei voi lähteä mihinkään. Myös isoisä haluaisi lähteä Irakista - mutta vasta sitten, kun hänen lapsensa ovat turvassa. Siis ei koskaan!
Viimeisen 15 vuoden kuluessa pakolaisvirrat Eurooppaan ovat suorastaan tulvineet. Eurooppa on vastaanottanut satoja tuhansia pakolaisia. Exodus-Vinan maailma dokumentti antaa ymmärtää, miten hyvin pakolaiset ovat organisoituneet ja he osaavat järjestää asioitaan. Suurin osa pakolaisista EI ole rikollisia, he ovat rikollisten uhreja. Suurin osa heistä asuisi laillisesti, mutta kun siihen ei ole mahdollisuutta, niin sitten - laittomasti.
Exodus- Vinan maailma- dokumentissa kohdataan sotilaita, pelätään Irakin pommituksia ja salakuljettajia sekä eletään haikeita eron hetkiä. Sitä paitsi Amerikan pommitukset Irakiin alkavat.
Pirstaleinen maailma kuitenkin eheytyy. Juuri ennen uutta vuotta Vinan perhe Tukholmassa saa kuulla, että masentunut Aras on lähdössä Turkkiin ja sieltä eteenpäin...

EXODUS - THE WORLD OF VINA
Five-year-old Vina gets on the train with her father in Stockholm - for a crazy journey. She goes to nothern Irag to visit her grandfather and her uncle. Who would want to go to Saddam Hussein's country? Indeed, many people are trying to flee that country. How many boats full of Kurdish refugees have not arrived at the in Italy? Three months later Vina's uncle arrives at the Stockholm train station. He has fled illegally from nothern Iraq.Exodus - the World of Vina shows that Fortress Europe is not at all a fortress and that immigrations, in spite of all the measure, can no longer be held back. In the last fifteen years, a parallel society of hundreds of thousands of refugees has arisen in Europe. They have organized themselves well, and everything is possible in their society. These people are mostly not criminals, nor are they victims of criminals. They are ordinary people who would live legally if they can, but illegally if it has to be. They don't feel guilty about it, for they consider themselves justified, that they have the right to go where things are better. Life in the countries they come from is intolerable - and their obligation of solidarity towards their family members and those who share their fate is sacred. Therefore, they travel from, to and through Europe as they wish.
