HYVÄSTI SE OIKEA
Nainen kävelee sisään tavallisennäköiseen toimistoon, jossa virkailija avaa tietokoneensa ja alkaa esitellä tuotteitaan: ’’hyvät hampaat, ei käytä silmälaseja, kasvojen muoto on suippo, nenä kapea ja pitkulainen, korvat eivät hörötä, luonne ystävällinen ja ulospäin suuntautuva, yliopistotutkinto...’’ Kyse on spermapankista ja asiakkaina ovat naiset, jotka haluavat lapsen - mutta eivät isää lapselleen.Naimattomien, yli kolmekymppisten ja hyvin toimeentulevien äitien lukumäärä on moninkertaistunut viimeisen kymmenen vuoden aikana. Nämä naiset ovat tietoisesti valinneet oman osansa kasvattaa lapsensa yksin - ilman puolisoa.
Ric Esther Bienstock on tehnyt kanadalaisista ’’sinkkuäideistä’’ dokumentin Hyvästi se oikea, jossa humoristisella tavalla käsitellään parisuhteen ja perhe-elämän muuttuneita arvoja. Dokumentti nähdään Kakkosella keskiviikkona 23. lokakuuta 1996.
Hyvästi se oikea-dokumentissa väitetään, että miehen rooli aviomiehenä ja isänä on aikansa elänyt - vain hänen spermallaan on merkitystä. Monet naiset päättävät luovuttaa ’’sen oikean’’ metsästämisen ja ryhtyvät seuraamaan omaa biologista kelloaan.
Rebecca,38, etsii isää lapselleen henkilökohtaista-palstan ilmoituksessa. Hän ei turvaudu spermapankkiin, sillä hänen mielestään
lapsella on oikeus tietää oma biologinen isänsä. Anne, 39, on raskaana entiselle poikaystävälleen. Muut dokumentin naiset valitsevat
nimettömän luovuttajan spermapankista. He eivät halua ottaa sitä riskiä, että lapsen isä peräisi joskus omia oikeuksiaan ja
vaatisi lapsen huoltajuutta.

Rebecca, 38, is tired of her party-girl life. Now she is scouring Toronto looking for a suitable "live donor". Her search eventually leads her to the Personal Columns.
Anne, 39, gets pregnant by her ex-boyfriend "by accident". We watch as she deals with the loneliness of a wanted-but-solitary pregnancy.
Ms. Conceptions looks at the burgeoning Sperm Industry; from the trade show floor where sperm is marketed like any other growth commodity, to the suppliers of that industry: the anonymous donors who are producung children they will never know.
Ms Conceptions examines a society where the lost connections between commitment and procreation, child-rearing and marriage, have irrevocably altered the paterns of the family.
