Vesku, niin pitäisi 
kaasi: minä kutsun tätä kilpailua härkäpäisesti RAC:ksi lopun ikääni, vaikkei keliolosuhteet ja niiden vaihtelut enää vastaakaan RAC:stä saatua mielikuvaa. Nykyään pörrätään nimittäin vain ainoastaan Walesin mudassa, pienellä alueella. Vielä kymmenen vuotta sitten käytiin Skotlannissa asti ja siellähän monesti tuli luntakin.

Juu...Pykälistö osallistuu kisaan, mutta Tuohino ei osallistu.
Sen sijaan Latvala on mukana
Ja sitten...yksi lahjakkaimmista suomalaisista jokunen aika taaksepäin...nimittäin Tapio Laukkanen mukana Subaru Imbrezalla! Nyt Tapsa...toivottavasti homma nyt natsaa kohdalleen. Teitten tuntemus ei ainakaan ole esteenä...eikä kalustostakaan ole homma tällä kertaa kiinni. Pitäiskö tempasta yllätysvetona veikkaukseen
Tapsalla oli todella huonoa tuuria tehdaspaikkojen suhteen...aina kun oli ns. näytön paikka...homma ei toiminut. Nyt toivon onnistumista Tapsalle

Kyllähän Laukkanen on mukava heppu! Olen jopa päässyt kerran muutaman sanasen vaihtamaan hänen kanssaan. Tapio oli juuri silloin voittanut Brittien avoimen mestaruussarjan Kaj Lindströmin kanssa.
Lahjakas kuski edelleen! Minkäs ikäinen hän muuten jo on? Ei tullut sitä silloin kysyttyä

Vaikka kymmenen Toivoisin, että Tapsa pääsisi ajamaan vaikka muutaman MM-kisan.uskoisin, että tulokset olisivat hyviä
Oli aivan uskomaton kuski etuvetoisella volkkarilla ja sitten Renaultin Meganella
Megane oli muuten niitä viimeisiä rallivehkeitä, joilla "sävelet" oli todella mahtavat! Kone kiersi todella upeasti...ainakin Tapsan komennossa

Vai että Laukkanen!
Melkein olin jo unohtanut koko nimen. Paras tulos MM-tasolta taitaa olla viides sija vuoden 2000 Australiasta. Nyt kun kerran asetelmat ovat kisaa ajatellen näin hyvin kohdallaan, niin tosiaankin ei muuta kuin lisää hyviä näyttöjä ja MM-pisteitä hakemaan.

Brittein avoimessa sarjassa olivat maailman parhaat 2-litraiset etuvetoiset. Renaultissa äänet olivat lähes yhtä upeat kuin jo moneen kertaan mainitsemassani Lancia Delta S4:ssä

Voi mennä muutama veikkaus pieleen, sillä hänhän ajaa tuolla asenteella tieltä. Toisaalta, voihan tämä veikkaus mennä metsään.
Ei kai sitä Aléniksi pelkästään tuo ääneensanomalla muututa.

Colinikin vannoi menevänsä kaasujalka eturipustuksissa asti...
Mutta missä on perinteinen RAC:n alla esiintyvä sanasota McRaen ja Burnsin välillä tänä vuonna?  Ovat kai tajunneet keskittyä olennaiseen tällä kertaa!

No tuonhan tietää...miten siinä käy. Siellä on pökötti taas persuus edellä jossain rotkossa, kuten viime vuonna Jellonan kuva vaan näkyi tienreunalla
Yritti samaa temppua jo Kataloniassa, mutta pääsi sitten vielä silloin ylös.

Great Britain : Team by team analysis [01/11/03 - 04:25]
Citroën want to win both titles
The last round of the World Rally Championship will take place in Great Britain from 6 - 9 November. Four men are still in the fight for the championship title and each one of them will have a chance to win this rally. However, many other drivers will be aiming to win this prestigious event.
Citroën Sport
Sebastien Loeb is the championship leader. The Frenchman knows that he only needs to finish in front of his three rivals to become champion. But even if he is quick on all surfaces, Sebastien doesn't have as much experience in this rally as his three opponents. It should not be a big handicap for Loeb, looking at how well he performed to finish second in Australia this year. Last year Sebastien had to retire in Great Britain while he was in seventh place, because of a broken suspension.
Carlos Sainz won this race in 1990 and 1992, while finishing second in 1995 and third in 1997 and 2002. Sainz knows the British event very well but also lost the title during the last kilometres of the race a few years ago. Carlos is extremely consistent and that should help him for this final round of the season. But we will have to see if consistency is enough at a time when the Spaniard needs to finish in front of his rivals.
For Colin McRae, this Rally of Great Britain will not only be the last race of the season, it might also be his career's final event in the World Rally Championship. The Scotsman confirmed that he will not be taking part in the 2004 World Rally Championship. Winner in 1994, 95 and 97, Colin will want to end this season on a high note before retiring. If Loeb and Sainz are fighting for the championship, Citroën are also in the battle for the Constructors' Championship and McRae can play a major role to help his team.
Peugeot Sport
Peugeot are well aware that their chances of winning the Drivers' Championship are slim. The probabilities are higher for the Constructors' Championship and the team will do everything in its power to beat their rivals.
Peugeot can count on their three drivers who have been successful in this event. Marcus Gronholm won the event in 2001 and finished on the podium in 2002. Last year the Finn made a mistake and had to retire.
Of course Richard Burns will try to win his home race, just like he did in 1998, 1999 and 2000. The British driver knows that it will be difficult to clinch the title if he doesn't win the rally. Even then, that is not enough to guarantee his success in the championship. Even if Burns is still highly motivated, he will need to break a string of winless races that started since joining Peugeot.
Harri Rovanpera really enjoys the Rally of Great Britain. The Peugeot driver finished twice on the podium: a third place in 1999 and a second position in 2001. The Finn can be a tremendous help for Peugeot, if he can be more successful than during previous rallies of this year.
Solberg is the favourite to win

Subaru World Rally Team
Petter Solberg won his very first World Rally event during last year's Rally of Great Britain. Since that time, the Norwegian has celebrated more victories and will arrive in Great Britain in a very good position to win the title. Many people pick Solberg as the favourite, believing that the Impreza can beat the Citroën and Peugeot on gravel.
With his win last year, Solberg will be without a doubt a tough competitor. Just like for Colin McRae, Great Britain should be last World Rally event for Tommi Makinen. The Finn took fourth place last year and will try to help Solberg in his quest to win the championship. A real challenge for Makinen, who will have to finish between his teammate and his rivals.
Ford Rallye Sport
Since they are no longer fighting for the championship, the Ford drivers can focus (!) on winning the rally and nothing else.
Last year, Markko Martin finished second behind Solberg. This time the Estonian can count on the new and improved 2003 version of the Focus, which is clearly superior. Even if he cannot win the title, Markko can have an impact on the final results.
Francois Duval will take part in his first Rally of Great Britain at the wheel of a WRC car. The Belgian was there last year but was driving a Puma in the JWRC. Francois had to retire because of a mechanical problem.
Unlike his teammate, Mikko Hirvonen drove a WRC car in the event last year. Mikko was at the wheel of a Subaru Impreza but had to retire in SS 2 because of a mechanical problem.
Skoda Motorsport
Last race of the season for the Fabia WRC. This year's final event will help the team gather more data to improve the set-up of the Fabia on a gravel surface.
The Skoda drivers have not been very successful at the Rally of Great Britain. Didier Auriol and Toni Gardemeister never made it to the podium of this classic rally.

Pää ei vissiin kestänyt paineita , ei vaan harmittava juttu jos joutuu jättämään väliin, vaikka en hänen mestaruutta toivokaan.

Richard Burns has been hospitalised yesterday evening, after fainting. Doctors will give an update today on their diagnosis and the seriousness of his state of health. From now on they have already declared that Richard Burns will not be authorized to recce and to enter the Network Q Rally of Great Britain which will take place next weekend.

Virallisessa lähtöluettelossa on edelleen...mutta tallipisteistä taitaa sitten ajella Juuso ...ja silloin tietysti Rikun auton ajettavakseen
mahdollisuus on tietenkin kutsua Panizzi ajmaan "kolmosautoa"!
Uskoisin kuitenkin Juuson saavan nyt todellisen näytön paikan
